PROGRAMS

AYSO is a non-profit organization that provides youth soccer programs for participants all over the United States. Consisting of over 50,000 teams and 500,000 players nationwide, AYSO is one of the leading youth soccer organizations in the world -- often called “the biggest soccer club in the world.”

FALL/CORE

Our core program is the foundation for all the fun, excitement and learning that happens on the fields. AYSO is best known for our core program – it’s where the large majority of kids fall in love with soccer and make memories that will last a lifetime.

There are six core values – or what we call AYSO’s Six Philosophies – that are the foundation of our core program, and all others: Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship and Player Development.

SPRING/CO-ED

In the Spring/Co-ed Program, boys and girls play alongside and against one another; however, many other aspects of the program follow the same format as the Fall/Core Season.

The Spring/Co-ed Program is all about fun, staying fit and developing the skills and knowledge of the participants; coaches and players alike. The league will not maintain scores or standings and the emphasis will be on growing a love of the sport while building technique and fitness.

Some travel outside Lakeside area fields to neighboring AYSO regions may be required depending on the number of teams that sign-up for each division.

Games typically begin in early March and will be played on Saturday mornings, until mid-May, with the exception of a few holiday/event weekends.

MATRIX

AYSO MATRIX is club soccer at its finest.

MATRIX soccer offers skilled soccer players the opportunity to play on competitive teams at a reasonable price in both the Presidio Soccer League and the San Diego Development Academy, under the SIX principles of AYSO.

We are dedicated to providing a quality training program for players in a skilled environment to enhance future opportunities through soccer.

VIP

AYSO is proud to offer a very special program for children and adults with physical or mental disabilities. The VIP (Very Important Player) program provides a safe, fun environment with trained coaches and volunteers who facilitate an enriching experience that the players and their families will cherish forever.

Buddies assist during the games in which players learn soccer while meeting new friends, having fun and increasing skills and self-esteem. Players and their families, along with the volunteers, enjoy the complete AYSO experience – team uniforms, scoring goals, cheering from the sidelines, and the list goes on!

The goal is to make sure that everyone can play the beautiful game.
